Being able to demonstrate the value of learning initiatives is critically important. With the emergence of big data and predictive analytics as well as the continued emphasis on lean, Six Sigma, and total quality improvement, important business decisions are more and more being driven by data. Past experience, reputation, and a believe that "something works" are no longer enough to gain access to scarce organization resources. However, providing business executives with hard data demonstrating the value of learning initiatives is not something many learning and development professionals know much about nor have much experience doing.
In this session you will:(1) Examine how to build a "chain of evidence" demonstrating learning program value using the Kirkpatrick/Phillips 5-level evaluation model.(2) Analyze the role "scrap learning" plays in the measurement and evaluation of the learning process.(3) Discover how predictive learning analytics can be used to reduce "scrap learning" and target learning department resources to those learners who need it most.
