The chapter leadership team is made up of volunteer members who work together to bring local events, programming, and services that promote professional training and development. Pamela has served in communications, marketing, and education for over 20 years. She previously served as a global marketing specialist for an international agriculture manufacturer, on the boards of several non-profits, and as a team manager and instructional designer for a global consulting firm. Pamela has Master of Science in Education - Learning Development Technology from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science in Communications from Kaplan University. Pamela currently works at State Farm Insurance as an Information Security IT Governance Framework Liaison.
Lisa has been in healthcare for 24 years and 17 of those years within the training and education field. She has a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education and Masters of Science Degrees in both Health Service Administration and Training and Development. She has worked as a mentor and trainer for several years before becoming a Training and Education Lead at Health Alliance. She now works in Compliance and manages and engages staff on Regulatory Compliance matters.
Sarah has nearly twenty years of experience in learning and performance consulting and instructional design. She worked on project teams throughout Central Illinois in the public and private sector. She is responsible for developing corporate learning in her position at Citizens Equity First Credit Union (CEFCU). She has served on the volunteer board of the Heart of Central Illinois Chapter of ATD for over 15 years. Sarah serves as a Junior Achievement Classroom Consultant, a District 150 Reading Buddies mentor, and is a certified SDI Facilitator and Instructional Systems Designer.
Dan has been in instructional design and training development for over 20 years. He was a Training Manager, stand up instructor and training developer for the University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana prior to accepting a position with NTT Data, a global IT consulting company, as a web-based training developer. Dan moved on within NTT Data into management and served them as Sr. Program Manager and Delivery Manager for 12 years. Currently, Dan is working as a Software Development Analyst focusing on SharePoint with State Farm Insurance.
Joseph is a Learning and Development Consultant for Health Care Service Corporation where he has worked for the past 17 years. He also teaches in the Organizational and Professional Development program at Eastern Illinois University. He has over 10 years of experience developing and implementing learning solutions to address knowledge, skill, and performance gaps. He received his Bachelor of Science in Organizational and Professional Development and Master of Science in Technology with a Training and Development focus from Eastern Illinois University. He has served on the ATD-HCI board for the past two years.
Emily has worked at Illinois State University for nearly 10 years. She has held positions within Orientation and Transition Services as well as the First Year Experience and Testing Services. In 2016, Emily began the role of Training and Development Coordinator for Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2007 and a Master’s degree in college student personnel administration in 2010; both from ISU. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Technology with a focus in Training and Development. Through her experiences Illinois State University, Emily has cultivated a strong passion for the development of students and professionals.
In addition, Emily cares deeply about her local community. She is a 2013 graduate of the Multicultural Leadership Program and serves on the Board of Directors for the League of Women Voters of McLean County. She is an active volunteer with the Bloomington Center for Performing Arts and the Bloomington Cultural District Commission.
