The chapter leadership team is made up of volunteer members who work together to bring local events, programming, and services that promote professional training and development. Joseph Meeker
President

Joseph is a Learning and Development Specialist at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. He taught for several years in the Organizational Development program at Eastern Illinois University. He has over 15 years of experience designing, developing and implementing learning solutions to address knowledge, skill, and performance gaps. He has a Master of Science in Technology with a Training and Development focus and Bachelor of Science in Organizational Development from Eastern Illinois University. Joseph is also a Certified Online Instructor (COI).

Shirley Stelbrink
Director of Programming and Professional Development

With a passion for employee and organization development and a life philosophy of success, Shirley became the owner of Stelbrink-Crews & Company in October 2003 just after completing her BS Degree in Business Administration in May. Effective January 2010, she purchased Learning Alliances Company and is growing the organization in support of client needs and focus. Her interactive style, adult learning techniques, use of metaphors and stories offer an engaging style for participants. She continues her own professional development maintaining her Authorized Partnership with Everything DiSC and in October 2014 became a Bigger Game Certified Trainer.

Emily Vigneri
Director of Administration & Finance

Emily has worked at Illinois State University for nearly 11 years. She has held positions within Orientation and Transition Services as well as the First Year Experience and Testing Services. In 2016, Emily began the role of Training and Development Coordinator for Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2007 and a Master’s degree in college student personnel administration in 2010; both from ISU. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Technology with a focus in Training and Development. Through her experiences Illinois State University, Emily has cultivated a strong passion for the development of students and professionals.

In addition, Emily cares deeply about her local community. She is a 2013 graduate of the Multicultural Leadership Program and serves on the Board of Directors for the League of Women Voters of McLean County. 

Eric Varney 

Director of Membership and University Outreach

Eric is a Learning Analyst at State Farm who has been facilitating since 2013. Prior to working at State Farm, Eric spent his career working in higher education; teaching communication courses at Illinois State University and student success courses at Bradley University. While completing his Organizational Communication master’s degree at ISU, Eric was awarded the Outstanding University Graduate Teaching Award for his teaching excellence. 

When he is not working, you can find him volunteering at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore or working at the various build sites.

  Colin DeCair 

  Director of Marketing and Communication

 

Colin is an Assistant Vice President & Associate Development Manager for Busey. Tasked with leading the bank’s Managerial Development program, its service training portfolio, and its  community advocacy efforts, Colin has been with Busey – a two time ATD BEST organization – for the last six years. Colin has also received individual recognition from ATD as its 2018 recipient of the One to Watch young professional award. Colin holds a Masters’ in Human Resources Education, Leadership and Development from Louisiana State University, and a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Northern Illinois University.

 Andrea Ribley 

 Director at Large 

Andrea is an Organization Learning Consultant for Memorial Health System providing coaching to leaders and staff based on Don Clifton’s strengths-based approach and philosophy to performance development and leadership. Prior to joining the Organization Development Division at Memorial, Andrea worked in Human Resources at Illinois National Bank. She received her Bachelors in Business Administration from Robert Morris University, as well as her MBA. She received her Coaching Certificate from ATD in March 2017, and has been a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach since December 2017.
